Walkon glass against the facade

The Walkon Wall Abutment. Such a typical Dutch product used to get light into spaces below street level. We often apply them to create daylight in the basement of Amsterdam’s canal houses.

Wall mounting

A minimum of one side of the Walkon Wall Abutment is fixed against the facade with a specially designed wall mounting profile. After installation, the interior finish neatly covers the frame so that only glass can be seen: the Sky Only View.

Insulating glass

A unique advantage is that this walkon glass is insulated. This is essential to prevent loss of heat.

Safety first

All rooflights with walkon glass have sufficient load-bearing capacity. They are constructed with multi-layered laminated glass. This is intruder resistant and in case of an unforeseen glass breakage, the product remains intact due to the laminated layer between the glass panes. Depending on where you apply the walkon glass, choose the right loadings. We are happy to help with that.

Installation service

Walkon glass is easy to install. The wall mount is placed against the wall and the other sides fall over an upstand like a lid. You have this upstand made in advance by a contractor or roofer. For even more convenience, our installation team can install your walkon glass hassle-free.
