Roof access for Superlofts
The "Design with Daylight" concept applied to Superlofts won Mark Koehler Architects the Residential Building of the Year award, presented by the Dutch Association of Architectural Firms (BNA).
The Superlofts concept is an architectural concept that stands for "Do it yourself, together." Superlofts are collective buildings with six-meter-high lofts. As a resident, you determine your own layout, size, and design.

Key words are flexibility, participation, and adaptability. Superlofts Block Y offered 30 households the opportunity to design their dream apartment together with the architect. Dutch Roof Design's "Design with Daylight" concept fits seamlessly into the Superlofts concept.

Freedom in design with Superlofts
Residents can customize the 6-meter-high structure. Several residents in Superloft projects in Amsterdam Noord (Ridderspoorweg) and the Houthavens district used our skylights and roof access to bring more daylight into their living spaces and simultaneously access the roof terrace. They realized their dream and now have an outdoor space in the heart of the city.
