Are you designing a project that requires walk-on glass to be installed against a wall or facade? In most cases, this involves an underground space, such as a basement, where you want more light. A skylight with a wall profile (known in the Netherlands as a "cuckoo") is the perfect solution, providing maximum daylight and a pleasant indoor climate.

Walkable glass against the facade
The Cuckoo. A typical Dutch product used to bring light into spaces below street level. We often use them to create daylight in the basements of Amsterdam's canal houses.
At least one side of the skylight is attached to the facade with a specially designed wall mounting profile. After installation, the interior finish neatly covers the frame, leaving only glass visible: Sky Only View.
A unique advantage is that this walk-on glass is insulated. This is crucial for preventing heat loss.
All skylights with walk-on glass have sufficient load-bearing capacity. They are made with multi-layer laminated glass. This is burglar-resistant, and in the event of accidental breakage, the product remains intact thanks to the laminated layer between the panes. Depending on where you use the walk-on glass, you choose the right load capacity. We are happy to help.
Walk-on glass is easy to install. The wall mount fits against the wall, and the other sides fit over a raised edge like a lid. You'll have had this raised edge fabricated in advance by a contractor or roofer. For even greater convenience, our installation team can install your walk-on glass without any problems.
