Installing a skylight or roof window: do it yourself (or have it done)

Dutch Roof Design's fixed products are, in principle, easy for a contractor to install themselves. The unique system comes complete with all installation materials and instructions and can be placed over the prepared upstands like a lid.

Becoming a certified installation team isn't easy. Our installers undergo extensive training to achieve this. During the training, they delve into all the products. Insulation values, waterproofing, equipment adjustments—you name it—everything is covered. They also carry out various installations in the field. With this experience, they look forward to installing a skylight or roof access for you too.

Practical points

Skylights and roof access points are heavy. Therefore, a crane is required, equipped with a glass suction cup and sometimes even a lifting frame. We can help you arrange a crane, but this isn't always straightforward. A permit is often required, and in some locations, such as Amsterdam's historic city center, the procedures are expensive and complex.
